Mark Lilla
Mark Lilla is a philosopher and professor at Columbia University. Specialising in political theology, the general theme of his work is the contested legacy of the Enlightenment in matters of politics and religion. In The Still-born God, Lilla highlights the inherent contradiction in the triumph of religious fundamentalism in modern Western secular culture. It was named one of the “100 best books of the year” by The New York Times Book Review.
